Chisel Blush

Chisel Blush

Steps

Prepare Your Face
  •   Start with a clean and primed face.
  •   As the makeup routine mentions, apply your foundation, concealer, and setting powder.
  •   Ensure that your base makeup is smooth and well-blended.
Choose the Right Blush
  •  Select a matte blush that complements your skin tone.
  •   A blush shade darker than your natural skin tone is best for chiseling.
  •   Standard blush colors for contouring are soft to medium browns or muted rosy shades to fiery reds.
Locate the Cheekbones
  •   Identify your cheekbones by making a fish face or sucking in your cheeks.
  •   The hollows that form under your cheekbones are where you will apply the contouring blush.
  •   This creates the illusion of more prominent cheekbones.
  •   Hold a piece of paper up to your face from the top of the ear to the corner of the lips.
  •   This will be stenciled. Apply the blush above the line of the paper.

Apply the Blush
  •  Dip an angled blush brush into the blush and tap off any excess.
  •   Start at the top of the hollow of your cheekbone, near your ear, and apply the blush in a diagonal line towards the corner of your mouth.
  •   The key is to blend it upwards along your cheekbone.
  •   Keep the blush application reasonably precise, but don't make it too harsh.
Blend
  •  Blend the blush carefully with a clean, fluffy brush.
  •   This is crucial to achieve a semi-natural-looking contour.
  •   Use gentle, upward strokes to blend the blush into your skin, ensuring well-defined lines.
  •   Light blending is the key to seamless and flawless contouring.
  •   From a distance, a chiseled blush can look fierce.
Highlight
  •  After chiseling the blush, you can enhance the effect by applying a highlighter just above the blush on the tops of your cheekbones.
  •   This adds dimension to your face and makes the chiseling more pronounced.
  •  Use a highlighter shade that complements your skin tone.
Check and Adjust
  •   Take a step back and assess your makeup in good lighting.
  •   Adjust to ensure your chiseled blush looks balanced and enhances your facial structure.
Final Touches
  •   Complete your makeup by adding eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, false eyelashes, and lipstick as desired.
  •   Make sure all elements of your makeup work harmoniously together to create a captivating and dramatic drag queen look.

Chiseling the blush is a technique that can dramatically transform your face and add depth to your makeup. It's essential to practice and experiment to find the perfect blush shade and placement that suits your unique style and character. With time and experience, you'll become more skilled at achieving a perfectly chiseled look that enhances your drag performer persona.
