Mica Shine is gathering volunteers for the Springs Preserve Day of the Dead event, which will take place from November 1 to 3, 2024, from 5 to 9 p.m. The focus is an "Altar of Unity: Honoring Drag Icons," a tribute to Drag Queens and Drag Kings who made significant contributions to the Spectrum community and were lost too soon.

To make this altar special, Mica Shine is asking for help in collecting:

• Names of Drag Icons who had a meaningful impact.
• Pictures of these Icons to display on the altar.
• Stories or information about what made them influential, detailing their accomplishments, activism, artistry, or the ways they touched the community.

The altar will serve as a space to remember and celebrate these icons, recognizing their legacy within the drag and Spectrum communities.
